The Great Wall has become a cultural bond and a symbol of civilisation. The main element of the torch is modelled on the shape of the battlements, conveying hopes and dreams. The curves of the torch symbolise the Silk Road, which is the link between East and West, and also reflect the dynamic beauty of the Winter Olympics.
